In response to the increased demand during the pandemic and in strict adherence to all relevant protocols from its onset, YGEIA FLORINAS performs molecular detection tests (PCR) for SARS-CoV-2, as well as rapid antigen tests (Rapid Ag Test) using nasopharyngeal samples.
A specialized scientific team, consisting of Molecular Biologists, conducts all required coronavirus tests quickly and accurately under full safety conditions for both patients and staff. Testing takes place in a specially designed area where all safety protocols are strictly followed, including:
Protective suits for staff performing the tests
Regular disinfection of the testing area throughout the day
Scheduled appointments to manage patient flow
Patients for SARS-CoV-2 testing enter through a separate side entrance of the medical center to minimize the risk of virus spread and ensure everyone’s safety.
Sample collection is conducted exclusively by appointment, Monday to Friday, from 08:00 to 21:30. Patients must bring personal protective equipment (mask and gloves). During the appointment booking process, the patient’s medical history and symptoms are recorded in a dedicated database so that the testing staff is fully informed prior to sample collection.
