    Examination for Men aged 40-70

    Men’s Check-Up 18-40 + PSA, PLAC test, CEA, aFP, CA19-9, Testo, free-Testo

For men aged 40-70, we rely on the men's check-up for ages 18-40, with extra attention to preventing prostate cancer, which is one of the leading causes of death in middle-aged and older men. Special emphasis is also placed on markers of intra-vascular inflammation, which reveal risks of cardiovascular events. Optionally, a selection can be made among the most significant markers of neoplasia, focusing on those of the gastrointestinal system, as well as assessing the hormonal profile of men, which is related to their sexual health.

The additional tests recommended beyond those in the Men's Check-up for ages 18-40 are:

Prostate-specific antigen (PSA) and optionally free-PSA, which may be the most significant examination for men over 40 for the early detection of prostate cancer. Its value makes it perhaps the most essential among the examinations in the annual preventive check-up. The assessment is made by comparing the results obtained annually.

Beyond the use of PSA as a marker of neoplasia, it is also used as a tool for detecting prostate infections (prostatitis), which are particularly common among men. Early detection is necessary for their timely treatment and preservation of gland health.

The PLAC test is the most specialized and modern analysis for calculating the risk of atherosclerotic disease and ischemic events. It is recommended for individuals with a burden on their cardiovascular system and a risk of cardiovascular events (individuals with a combination of predisposing factors - chronically elevated cholesterol, smokers, hypertensive individuals, diabetics, obese individuals, anxious individuals, with a heavy family history, etc.).

The value of CEA (carcinoembryonic antigen) is evident from the fact that it is a general marker of neoplasia and is associated with the most common neoplastic diseases of almost the entire body (liver, thyroid, larynx, oesophagus, rectum, testes, bladder, pancreas, colon, lung, stomach).

The analysis of aFP (alpha-fetoprotein) is a specific marker for inflammation-neoplasia of the liver and testes.

CA 19-9 (cancer antigen 19-9) is a specific marker for inflammation-neoplasia of the pancreas, colon, liver, and stomach.

Testosterone (Testo) and free-testosterone (free-Testo) concern the measurement of the most important androgen hormone in men. It is mainly used in detecting the hormone-dependent cause of limited sexual desire and capability, as well as the overall well-being of men.

We provide your results with a full explanation, assessment, and initial guidance if necessary.

As preparation for morning blood sampling and examination, the following is suggested:
Mandatory intake of an evening meal the night before.
    – The last meal should be consumed up to 11-12 hours before blood sampling.
    – The evening meal should contain fewer animal fats (if it includes cheeses, fatty dairy products, and meats).
    - In the morning, only coffee should be consumed, with free water intake.

    For urine collection:
    – Collect the first morning urine.
    – Wash the area thoroughly with plenty of water, without soap.
    – Discard the first urine of the urination and collect a small amount from the midstream in a special urine container.
